FULLDAY MINCA TOUR
You will learn about the history of coffee in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta by visiting a nearby private’s four-hectare coffee farm. You will explore different types of Colombian coffee, how it is harvested, and the importance of fermentation, drying, and roasting to make a great cup of coffee.
Next, take a 4-kilometer walk along an ecological trail where you’ll see a natural pool. Adapt the physical activity to suit your energy level. After a refreshing swim in the river, continue through the forest until you reach our beautiful bamboo house. Your host, Jungle Joe, will serve you a delicious gourmet meal with live music.
After lunch, you will learn about guadua-bamboo architecture, why it’s called Colombia's natural steel, and its various uses. The tour includes a cocoa workshop where you will learn about cacao's history and how to create your own chocolate bar.
The experience will end leaving you with great tastes and memorable experiences.
